The 6th Venture Capital and West China Development Forum Successfully Held in Xi’an

On April 6, 2012, “the sixth venture capital and west china development forum” that was jointly organized by China Council for International Investment Promotion and People’s Government of Shaanxi Province was successfully held in Hilton hotel in Xi’an, Shaanxi province.

This forum made a bold try while sustaining the previous forums’ advantages. Themed “Innovate business models, and broaden financing channels”, this forum made an in-depth discussion & analyses dedicated to helping enterprises improve financing strategies. Luo Zhen jiang, Vice Director of CPC of Shaanxi and Zhou Ming, Vice President of CCIIP delivered speeches separately.

In the keynote speech part, Huang Feng, Deputy Director General of Department of Foreign Investment Administration of MOFCOM introduced latest trends of foreign investment and new policies of venture capital in China; heads from Office of Finance of Shaanxi province and leaders from Xi’an high and new development zone also made presentations with themes “creating new business models” and “perfecting the financing service systems”. Then, Tian Lixin, Managing Partner of DT Capital Partners , and Wu Tingting, Chair of The Board and CEO of VEST ASIA INVESTMENT BANKING made wonderful speeches with regard to “the combination between business models and capitals operation” and “creating a new business model”. Guo Jiaying, Executive Director of NYPC Capital, explained about “the key of matchmaking between equity investment and western enterprises”

In the panel part, experts from Jiangsu Huakong capital management Co.Ltd., JINCHENG TONGDA&NEAL law firm , Ernst&Young accounting firm, and responsible persons from Office of Finance of Shaanxi province, Xi’an high and new technological industries investment corporation, and XI’an Technology Resources Market, held a discussion concerning the effects brought by business models and investment strategies, and analyzed a successful case in point.

In the project matchmaking part, 14 responsible persons from energy &chemical engineering, environment protection & new materials, culture & creation, and TMT fields made project recommendations and got excellent reviews and comments from investment experts.

Nearly 40 VC/PE investors and people in charge from Consultation Company, Law Firm, and Accounting Firm attended this forum, and communicated with more than 100 enterprises representatives of Shaanxi province. The forum achieved sound effect and received good comments from representatives and the outside.
